In this tour we take you to the most beautiful water palaces in Bali. Generally Balinese kings built water palaces as gardens for pleasure; however the King of Karangasem built royal water palaces also as architectural delight as an eclectic combination of Balinese, Chinese and European elements, decorated by statues of Balinese heroes inside of her ponds, and towering Chinese pagodas in the middle. The commanding view to the surrounding hills, rice fields and the sea is magnificent. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel along and swim in her refreshing natural spring fed swimming pool to refresh your body and mind! In addition we take you to Tenganan, the most unique among Balinese aboriginal villages with thousand year old traditions well maintained until the present day!

We take you through the scenic east Bali where ancient cultures and traditions are still very alive. Goa Lawah or Bat Cave is our first stop where we find thousands of undulating sacred fruit bats covering every space available in the cave, then we proceed to the traditional salt makers nearby where the ancient technique of getting salt from sea water is still done until today. Continuing our tour, we take you to Tenganan where the ancient culture of Bali Aga (the aboriginal Balinese) is still well preserved including the time consuming and the intricate art of weaving Double Ikat Gringsing textile. Driving through the beach resort of Candi Dasa, the favorite base for divers in east Bali, we find a lagoon of lotus flowers with the superb view of small islands in the sea. Our next stop is the Virgin Beach for having lunch and then we take you to the Royal Palace (Puri Agung) Kanginan of Karangasem, where the last king of Karangasem lived. Afterwards we continue our trip to the water palace of Tirtagangga and the Sukasada Ujung water palace, an eclectic blend of Balinese, Chinese and European elements designed by the talented king Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem for a garden of pleasure and at the same time for the unique architectural delight.
