The region where Jatiluwih is located produces more harvest per hectare compared with any other regions in Bali thanks to the fertility of the soil and the advance technique applied by the farmers so the nickname “the rice granary of the island of Bali” is also added for Jatiluwih.

We pick you up in your hotel and then take you to a local food stall for a tasty Balinese hot coffee or tea and cakes. Afterwards we take you to a mountain village where we will start our trekking to discover the beauty of Jatiluwih’s rice fields. During more or less two hour walk in the middle of the rice fields, we take you closer into the Bali’s way of life, the agricultural technique used by farmers for centuries, the stages of rice harvest and the rich kind of spices, medicinal plants and fruit trees found along the way. Indonesian food lunch will be served in a local restaurant with breathtaking view to the endless terraced rice fields with the lofty Mount Batukaru as the background. We’ll start the day by visiting the temple of GunungLebah where a holy man called Resi Markandeya meditated in VIII century. Here the East Wos and the West Wos River meet, and therefore as a river confluence, the place is considered sacred by the local people. Continuing the trip we’ll take a walk among rice fields to observe the farmer’s activities and to enjoy the rural ambiance along the way although Ubud is a village of tourists now. We’ll learn the rich variety of plants still used by local people as traditional medicines or “ubad” from where Ubud gets her name (“ubud” comes from the word “ubad” meaning the traditional medicine in Balinese), vegetables and fruit trees found along the way.
At one certain place, we take a rest under the shade of coconut trees to try the young coconut liquid and its delicious jelly meat, contemplating the fantastic view to the distant volcanoes and the terraced rice fields. After two hour walking, we take you to a restaurant with picturesque rice field’s view for having delicious lunch. And then we take you back to your hotel.

THE UBUD’S CAMPUHAN RIDGE WALK WITH MAGNIFICENT RIVER VALLEY’S VIEW
This walk will take you firstly through Ubud rural areas where glimpses of daily life can be seen such as a farmer is cutting the grasses for his cow, another farmer leads his ducks to the nearby fields and the amazing view to the fertile rice paddies. Then we take you through small path in the middle of Ubud Ridge Walk from where magnificent view to the river valleys to the both sides can be appreciated with the stunning sunset in the horizon. This is truly a lovely walk hard to forget.

We pick you up in the airport or at your hotel and then we take you until north Bali about 3 hours drive from south Bali. On the way to get there we will enjoy the change of landscape from endless rice paddies near the coast, followed by coffee plantations, cloves or salak snake skinned fruit trees covering the hillsides. The landscape changes as we approach the warmer climate of north Bali which is therefore more suitable for planting tobacco, vineyard and fruit trees like mango, rambutan, coconut or lontar fan palm. On the way to the waterfalls we stop to see the Gamelan traditional music makers, and then we continue our trip to the waterfalls passing through paddy fields and dry fields where people plant cash crops and fruit trees.
Be prepared for exercises because we will walk uphill and downhill in the middle of the fields, in the banks of rivers or through a small path in the garden contemplating the magnificent landscape. Along the way we feel the friendliness and the warm welcome given by the local people, learning their peculiar philosophy of life. When we go through the fields, we will learn many kinds of tropical spices and fruit trees such as coconuts, bananas, mangoes, papayas, cashews, jackfruit, sweet potato, tapioca, durian bad smelly fruit, snake skinned fruit, white mango, et cetera. A hot coffee or tea with the sweet Laklak cakes will be served on the way and we can learn how Balinese lady makes this delicious snack. Then we continue our walk walking on the bank of the creek that leads to the beautiful waterfalls, called Sekumpul, and the other one, called Lemukih, considered as the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali. A thick tropical vegetation and thriving cash crop gardens surround the waterfall, which are composed of smaller waterfalls extending to the sides throwing cold mists to the surrounding areas. Afterwards we will have the opportunity to take photos and then to swim in the clean fresh water of the waterfalls and to admire the beautiful view of the waterfall from closer distance. Afterwards, we will have our delicious lunch in a nearby restaurant and then we return to South Bali and we will take you again in your hotel. THE JUNGLE TREKKING AROUND LAKE TAMBELINGAN

The jungle trekking around Lake Tambelingan allows you to discover the wild life that thrives more than thousand year in the tropical rain forest covering the slopes of the mountains and the bank of the lake. We will discover many kind of flora and fauna in the jungle and at the same time we will enjoy the nice view to the mountains around the lake and the magnificent sight to the twin lakes while having lunch.
We pick you up in your hotel then invite you to taste Bali’s tasty coffee and cakes before starting our day to discover the rich variety of flora and fauna found in the virgin rain forest which thrives during more than a thousand of years around Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan! During the walk we will discover strangling figs, Banyan trees, giant ferns, moss covered big trees, wild orchids and wild animals inside of the forest. In certain place we have to cross the lake by dugout canoe as it’s impossible to continue the trip on foot and we’ll experience the beautiful view to the surrounding hills from the lake. Our expert guide with wide knowledge on the local flora and fauna will explain to you the use of the certain plants for food and for traditional medicines. After the trekking, we take you to a restaurant with amazing view to the twin lakes of Buyan and Tambelingan for having delicious lunch. THE MOUNT BATUR SUNRISE CLIMBING
Departure: 2.00 a.m. Approximate duration: 12 hours.
The view from the top of Mount Batur at sunrise is really spectacular. The arduos climbing will be well compensated by the magnificent view to the highest peaks of Bali and Lombok; and the opportunity to have a closer look at the smoking crater of Mount Batur. After the climbing, relaxing in the hot spring and the one hour traditional massage will refresh our body and mind; and finally while having delicious lunch we contemplate the breathtaking view to the still active Mount Batur and her shimmering lake.
We pick you up at your hotel at 2.00 a.m. in order to get to the foot of the Mount Batur at 4.00 a.m. and then to reach the summit approximately at 6.00 a.m. to see the spectacular sunrise (weather permitting) from the top. The Moun Batur peak (1.717 meter above sea level) is only at the distance of one kilometre from our starting point (1.000 meter above sea level) in the Parking Lot of Pasar Agung temple which we will reach after two hour walking. At first we pass through tomatoes and garlic fields, then through the Eucalyptus trees covering lava flow from 1916 eruption. The vegetation turns to bushes and finally the volcanic rocks with sands before the summit. While your breakfast (tea or coffee with Banana sandwich) are served, you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery to the highest peaks of the island of Bali (Mount Abang (2.152 meter; and Mount Agung 3.142 meter) and Mount Rinjani (3.726 meter) in Lombok. Afterwards we take you back to the starting point and then we take you to stretch your muscles in the hot springs of Toyabungkah that contain sulfur. A relaxing one hour traditional massage will refresh your body and mind. Then buffet lunch will be served in alocal restaurant with spectacular view to the Mount Batur and Lake Batur. On the way back, we take you to the coffee and spices farm to have a free coffee and tea break. Then we take you back to your hotel.
